岐阜県に工房を構える川合優氏。川合優の仕事と川合氏がディレクションを務めるSOMAを主宰。
こちらの作品は川合優氏の１点ものの作品となります。

岐阜県美濃市にて製作されている川合優さん。大学で建築を学ばれたあと、飛騨、京都で修業を積み、独立。日々森や木と対峙し、木の美しさをいかした端正で清潔感のある作風で家具から小物まで幅広く制作しておられます。また戦後植林された針葉樹を使うことで、木を育て、生かす循環を山に取り戻し、日本の木の文化を守りたいと「SOMA」を立ち上げておられます。

農産物や飼料を一時的に貯蔵する丸いタンクをモチーフに作られた作品。
手彫りの木目と刃跡が美しく縁の高さが在るので、菓子や料理なども入れていただけます。
食器としてもお使いいただけます。
